Annual Staff In-Service Training

In preparation for a new school year, WKUHS held its annual Staff In-Service on August 18 - August 21, 2009. During this time staff members participated in a variety of trainings and departmental overviews. Some of which included:
- Insurance and Billing
- Review of Charge Ticket
- Front Office/Clinical Policies and Procedures
- Emergency Contraceptive (Plan B)
- Blood Borne Pathogens
- HIPAA Training
- A4/EHR
- Vaccines
- Scheduling
On Friday, Jim Fulkerson, University Experience Instructor/Coordinator Peer Mentor Program visited WKUHS. He discussed the Myers-Briggs HumanMetrics Test and reviewed staff personality results. The test is based on Carl Jung Myers-Briggs typological approach to personality. HumanMetrics provides practical and validated instruments and professional services for:
- team building
- candidate assessment
- leadership
- career development
- psychigraphics
- integrated solutions
- and more
Overall, the Staff In-Service training was very beneficial to the employees at WKU Health Services! We look forward to another successful year of providing quality healthcare to the students, faculty/staff, and alumni at WKU.
