Hand Sanitizer & Wipes installed as a H1N1 Preventive Health Measure

The Health Education and Marketing Staff began preparation and education for H1N1 swine flu in summer 2009. As students began to arrive on campus, so did the flu like illnesses. In August, Health Services began installing anti-bacterial hand sanitizer dispensers and disinfectant wipes in the open and departmental computer labs across WKU main campus. Health Services chose to install the sanitizers in the computer lab areas because they are a high volume traffic area used primarily by students.
Installation of anti-bacterial hand sanitizer dispensers and disinfectant wipes will begin on September 28 and continue until October 9 at the WKU Regional Campuses. WKUHS is assisting the campus community by providing the sanitizer and wipes as a preventative health measure to minimize transmission of viruses and other illness like H1N1 and seasonal flu. Brochures, flyers, handouts and posters are also being provided and distributed.
