• Gordon Ford College of Business maintains AACSB accreditation: WKU’s Gordon Ford College of Business has maintained AACSB International (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation for both the business and the accounting programs. AACSB International is the longest serving global accrediting body for business schools that offer degrees in business and accounting.
• WKU student selected as 2018 Goldwater Scholar: WKU student Lauren Pedersen of Barbourville was selected as a 2018 Barry M. Goldwater Scholar, the premier award for undergraduates pursuing careers in science, mathematics or engineering.
• WKU again named Tree Campus USA by Arbor Day Foundation: WKU has been recognized as a 2017 Tree Campus USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. WKU has received the designation for promoting healthy trees and engaging students in staff in the spirt of conservation each year since 2010. • WKU Traffic Advisory: LifeSkills Run for Autism Road Closings: The LifeSkills Run for Autism will affect access to campus beginning at 7 a.m. Saturday (April 21).  The route will travel up Kentucky Street, following University Boulevard, Normal Street, Regents Avenue, and down Chestnut Street. • WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

• Women’s golf: Blackman Finishes Career with Best Conference Result by Lady Topper in 20 Years: WKU senior golfer Georgina Blackman turned in the highest conference finish by a Lady Topper in 20 seasons on Wednesday, finishing fourth at the Conference USA Championship with a record-low score. Blackman shot a 2-over 74 in Wednesday's final round for a 3-over, three-day total of 219, the lowest conference tournament score by an individual in program history. The senior broke her own record of 220 from last year in her senior send-off at the par-72, 6,194-yard Verandah Club.
•  Softball: WKU Falls to No. 18 Kentucky: WKU Softball fell to No. 18 Kentucky in a 7-1 non-conference decision from the WKU Softball Complex on Wednesday night. A crowd of 1,093 – the second-largest in program history - was in attendance for the midweek tilt. Next: WKU will now turn its focus to Marshall as the Thundering Herd visits The Hill for a weekend series. First pitch of Saturday's doubleheader is set for 1 p.m. CT while Sunday's finale will commence at noon.
• Athletics: Hilltopper Football and Basketball Celebrating 100 Seasons in 2018-19: It will be a historic year on The Hill in 2018-19 as both the Hilltopper Football and Hilltopper Basketball squads will field their 100th teams on the gridiron and hardwood, and WKU Athletics will take fans on trips down memory lane leading up to both seasons.
• Tennis: WKU to Face LA Tech in Opening Round of C-USA Championship: Seventh seeded Lady Topper Tennis kicks off the 2018 Conference USA Championship today by playing tenth seeded Louisiana Tech in the first round. The first serve is set to begin in Norfolk, Va., at 8 a.m. CT.

• WKU's ENACTUS team advances to national competition: A team of WKU students has been recognized as among the best at finding entrepreneurial solutions to community problems and will advance to a national competition in May.
• Talented corps of WKU wideouts hope to improve numbers in second year of Sanford's system: While WKU continues to try to figure out who will throw the ball during the 2018 season, who will catch it is not as harrowing as a question. There are about six or seven Hilltoppers, according to WKU offensive coordinator Junior Adams, who have stood to through 4 1/2 weeks of spring practice. That’s made for a solid unit inside the team’s passing game.
