- Investiture Ceremony for President Caboni this afternoon: The Investiture Ceremony for WKU President Timothy C. Caboni will begin at 2 p.m. today (April 27) in the Centennial Mall/Downing Student Union Courtyard. WKU PBS will televise the ceremony live with streaming coverage on WKU’s Facebook page and YouTube channel.
- Warren East Teacher Receives James Madison Fellowship: WKU alumna Claire Bellar was selected as a 2018 James Madison Fellow. She graduated from WKU in 2016 with degrees in social studies and history and teaches social studies at Warren East High School.
- Kentucky Mesonet at WKU releases iOS app for weather data: IOS users can now download and utilize the Kentucky Mesonet at WKU mobile app to obtain reliable weather data.
- Faculty facilitate community building online using Blackboard: Technology allows students the opportunity to enroll in courses and complete degrees online, and with their course design instructors can mold community into the learning experience. WKU’s Department of Diversity & Community Studies offers an example of instructors using their curriculum design and Blackboard features to enhance student learning.
- WKU Regents to hold committee meetings this morning: The WKU Board of Regents will hold committee meetings today (April 27). The meetings begin at 8:30 a.m. in the Martin Regents Room, Jody Richards Hall. The committee meetings will be streamed live on the WKU YouTube channel.
- Parking Advisory: Lots Reserved for Events on Saturday: South Lawn Lot and the Parking Structure 3 atrium will be reserved Saturday (April 28) for two campus events. More: Virginia Garrett Loop Closure
- Attention WKU students: It's time to complete course evaluations: Attention WKU students: Please visit wku.evaluationkit.com to complete your Spring 2018 course evaluations. Students completing all course evaluations by May 3 will receive early access to grades on TopNet.
- Strategic Planning Committee open forum May 2: WKU’s Strategic Planning Committee will host its final open forum from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 2 at the Rick and Ann Guillaume Auditorium, Grise Hall 235. More: Download a draft of the strategic plan.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Athletics: WKU Rolls Out the Red Carpet for TOPSY Awards: WKU rolled out the red carpet, literally, on Thursday night as Hilltoppers and Lady Toppers from all of WKU's sport programs joined in an evening of dinner, highlights, memories and of course, awards.
- Baseball: WKU Returns Home to Play LA Tech in Conference USA Series: Looking for its best performance ever in Conference USA season, WKU Baseball hosts Louisiana Tech at Nick Denes Field for a three-game weekend series. Game times are 6 p.m. today and 1 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
- Track & Field: Hilltoppers and Lady Toppers Head to Louisville: WKU Track and Field is set to compete at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational this weekend at Cardinal Park in Louisville.
- Softball: Tops Headed to Florida Atlantic for Final Regular Season Road Series: WKU Softball is headed to Boca Raton, Fla., for its final Conference USA road series of the regular season as the Hilltoppers will take on Florida Atlantic in a three-game weekend set Saturday and Sunday.

- WKU students plan street fair to bring college students downtown: A group of WKU students hopes to attract more university students to downtown Bowling Green with a pop-up street fair Saturday.
- Saturday festival promotes wonders of science: Saturday, Circus Square Park will be filled with volunteers demonstrating the wonders of science. The fourth annual Sky Science Fest is scheduled for 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the park, and will feature more than 30 groups demonstrating a range of scientific topics from drones and sustainable gardening to vision testing. Richard Gelderman, director of the Hardin Planetarium at WKU, described the free event as a “celebration of science” with a carnival atmosphere.
