- President talks about WKU's future during Investiture Ceremony: WKU President Timothy C. Caboni used a ceremony rooted in tradition to talk about the university’s future. During the Investiture Ceremony for WKU’s 10th president Friday, President Caboni outlined a number of strategic initiatives that will help the University look forward. - View from the Hill: Grand opening of the Kelly M. Burch Institute: A new institute at WKU is designed to take ideas from initiation to implementation and has a focus on examining policies and practices that impact student success and associated performance metrics such as retention, persistence, progression and graduation.
- Attention WKU students: It's time to complete course evaluations: Attention WKU students: Please visit wku.evaluationkit.com to complete your Spring 2018 course evaluations. Students completing all course evaluations by May 3 will receive early access to grades on TopNet.
- Strategic Planning Committee open forum May 2: WKU’s Strategic Planning Committee will host its final open forum from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m. May 2 at the Rick and Ann Guillaume Auditorium, Grise Hall 235. More: Download a draft of the strategic plan.
- WKU Public Radio Weekday Newscast Schedule: Tune into WKU Public Radio for national and international news from NPR, and local newscasts every half hour during Morning Edition (4-9 a.m. Central), and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m. Central), as well as local news features and interviews produced by the WKU news staff. WKU's Public Radio can be heard on WKYU-FM (88.9) in Bowling Green/Glasgow; WDCL-FM (89.7) in Somerset/Campbellsville; WKPB-FM (88.9) in Henderson/Owensboro; WKUE-FM (90.9) in Elizabethtown/Bardstown; and online at http://www.wkyufm.org/

- Baseball: WKU Drops 11-Inning Battle to LA Tech, 4-2: Despite a 4-for-4 day from second baseman Steven Kraft with two walks and two RBI, WKU Baseball fell to Louisiana Tech in 11 innings by a score of 4-2 on Sunday afternoon. Next: WKU at Austin Peay at 6 p.m. Tuesday.
- Softball: WKU Drops Sunday Finale at FAU, 6-1: For the second day in a row, freshman Jordan Thomas connected for a home run but the Hilltoppers ultimately fell in the series finale at Florida Atlantic 6-1. Next: WKU vs. Lipscomb at 6 p.m. Thursday.
- Football: Hilltoppers Iyiegbuniwe and White Selected in 2018 NFL Draft: For the third consecutive season, WKU produced multiple NFL draft selections as linebacker Joel Iyiegbuniwe (Chicago Bears) and quarterback Mike White (Dallas Cowboys) were selected in the fourth and fifth rounds, respectively. Since 2016, WKU had produced seven NFL draft selections, tied for the most among all non-Power 5 schools and the most in Conference USA.
- Track & Field: WKU Finishes Regular Season with Strong Performances at Louisville: WKU Track and Field finished the regular season this weekend at the Lenny Lyles/Clark Wood Invitational hosted by Louisville. Between the Hilltopper and Lady Topper squads, the Red and White brought home 16 top-five finishes. Next: WKU at the Conference USA Outdoor Championships on May 10-13 in Houston, Texas.
- Tennis: Ito Named Freshman of the Year, All-Conference Singles, All-Conference Freshmen Team: WKU freshman standout Moka Ito was named the 2018 Conference USA Freshman of the Year while also being added to the All-Conference Singles First Team and All-Conference Freshmen Team, announced by Conference USA on Friday. Ito and sophomore teammate Monica Malinen were also named to the All-Conference Doubles Second Team.
- Women’s golf: Joiner, Blackman Receive All-Conference USA Accolades: For the third time in four seasons, WKU has placed multiple Lady Topper golfers on the All-Conference USA Teams. Sophomore Mary Joiner was named to the All-C-USA First Team on Friday, while senior Georgina Blackman received her program-record fourth all-conference selection when she was named to the Second Team.
- Football: Former Letterman Kenny Martin Promoted to Full-Time Assistant Role: Former Hilltopper letterman and current defensive tackles graduate assistant coach Kenny Martin has been promoted to full-time assistant, head coach Mike Sanford announced on Friday.

- WKU President Timothy Caboni honored with investiture ceremony: When WKU President Timothy C. Caboni came to WKU as a student, he felt like he was coming home for the first time. “This is where things clicked for me,” Caboni said, speaking during his presidential investiture Friday. “I came to understand how a university could be more like a family and how one’s peers, mentors and teachers could influence a student’s aspirations, goals and perspectives.” More: Investiture Ceremony for WKU's 10th president
