- WKU preparing for 2018-19 International Year of Cuba: WKU’s Office of International Programs (OIP) is preparing to launch the 2018-19 International Year of (IYO) Cuba.
- WKU student, alumna recognized by Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship: A WKU student and an alumna have been recognized by the Thomas R. Pickering Foreign Affairs Fellowship. Erick Murrer of Nancy was selected as a 2018 Pickering Fellow. Isabella Greene of Orlinda, Tennessee, was selected as alternate. Murrer is the first WKU student to receive a Pickering Fellowship.
- View from the Hill: Commencement set for May 11: Excitement is building for WKU’s first outdoor commencement ceremony since 2006. Amy Bingham has a preview of the festivities in the View from the Hill.

- WKU Board of Regents to meet May 11: The WKU Board of Regents will conduct its second quarterly meeting on Friday (May 11). The meeting will begin at 9 a.m. in the Martin Regents Room, Jody Richards Hall.
- 183rd Commencement May 11: Check out information for WKU’s 183rd Commencement on Friday (May 11) and special recognition ceremonies on Saturday (May 12).

- Basketball: Hilltopper, Lady Topper Season Ticket Renewals Now Available: Season ticket renewals for WKU Hilltopper Basketball and Lady Topper Basketball are now available via ticket holders' online accounts, and paper renewals will be arriving in their mailboxes in the coming weeks. Fans can renew their season tickets now via the online AccountManager on WKUTickets.com.
- Softball: Stellar Outing Locks Up C-USA Pitcher of the Week Nod for Aikey: In need of a win to earn a spot in the Conference USA Championships, WKU Softball turned to sophomore Kelsey Aikey who delivered an absolute gem – limiting FIU, who was in the hunt for the regular season title, to just a pair of infield singles en route to a complete-game shutout win for the Hilltoppers. The Cedar Falls, Iowa, native has been tabbed the league's Pitcher of the Week for her performance, the C-USA office announced Monday. Next: For the second year in a row, WKU Softball will occupy the eighth seed at the C-USA Championships. The Hilltoppers will open postseason play at 11 a.m. CT Wednesday against No. 5 seed Marshall in Charlotte, N.C.
