Staff members attend MGMA National Seminars

Stacie Sutter, Busines Office Manager and Donna Brosche, Clinical Nurse Manager attended Medical Group Managment Association (MGMA) National Seminars March 18-21, 2010 in St. Louis. Both attendees choose different seminars and have shared what they learned with the organization. They learned keys to increase productivity through growing employee performance, process improvement and how to keep patients satisfied and coming back again and again.
Stacie attended Roadmap to a Better Performing Practice, facilitated by Frank Cohen, MPA
Participants learned to:
- Apply process-improvement methods, including Lean Six Sigma
- Use the process-improvement toolbox and deployment platforms including DMAIC model
- Identify cause-and-effect relationships
- Test and fix broken processes
Donna attended Building, Leading and Maximixing Team Performance facilitated by Jim Westerman, PhD
Participants learned to:
- Analyze and correct teamwork and teambuilding problems
- Build more effective work relationships with employees
- Avoid unneccessary conflict resulting from failure to develop shared work expectations
- Effectively assess, coach and provide performance feedback
- Examine the strengths and weakness of a new generation of employees
