Women's Football Clinic 2010

Health Services sponsored the 3rd annual Women's Football Clinc held at L.T. Smith Stadium. About 140 ladies participated in this year's event. During the clinic women learned the basic rules and strategies of football. The Hilltopper coaching staff explained offense, defense, and special team instructions. Participants were given a tour of the locker room, team lounge, and equipment areas. Most of the day was spent in the team room going over different positions and plays.
Ta'Neka Vaden, ARNP at WKU Health Services was the guest speaker at lunch. She discussed breast and cervical cancer and prevention tips for women. Health Services offers annual gyn exams, colposcopy services, contraceptives, Gardisil vaccine and much more to help reduce women's risk for cancer. A fashion show also took place during the lunch hour and was sponsored by Pappagallo.
Ladies had the opportunity to participate in a flag football scrimage in the afternoon. Everyone enjoyed the on the field experience! The day ended with tailgating on DUC South Lawn and attend the WKU Alumni Hilltopper Football scrimage and Red/White scrimage.
