FREE HIV Testing May 4th
- Terri Cunningham
- Monday, May 3rd, 2010
If you have ever had unprotected sex or shared needles, then you should
consider getting an anonymous or confidential HIV test.
WKU Health Services is offering Free OraQuick testing (no needles or blood required) this semester once a month (this is separate from the blood drawn test that is given at any time). Results will be available the same day. The test is a 20-25 minute process. The OraQuick test will confirm a negative result. However, if there is a reactionary result, it will need to be confirmed with additional testing. This does not confirm a positive result!
When: Tuesday, May 4th from 10:00am-3:30pm
Testing locations will be at WKU Health Services
** NOTE TO FACULTY & STAFF **
If you are interested in sending your class through the HIV testing for extra credit as a whole group or as individuals, please notify Kathryn Steward at least 3 days before the scheduled date of testing. This will assure that there are enough tests and staffing to handle the volume of tests that will be required. You may notify Kathryn by phone: 270.745.5033 or email: kathryn.steward@wku.edu.
Testing is brought to you by WKU Health Services, Barren River District Health Department, Frankfort State HIV Testing Program and Heartland Cares.
