The 2010 American College Health Association (ACHA) attendees gained valuable knowledge at this year's conference. During the annual meeting members were able to:

• Gain greater understanding of the health and wellness environments in which they operate.
• Recognize the effect of diverse cultures and experiences on the health of individuals and communities.
• Intergrate college health with the missions of institutions they serve.
• Create opportunities for collaboration and exchange ideas among students and college health professionals.
• Promote research, education, training, and development of collaborative programs that enable college health professionals to provide their students and higher education communities with
  
  - health promotion and disease prevention services - clinical services
  - mental health services - consumer services
  
• Understand principles of public health and how to apply them to college health.
