Political Scientist Melissa Harris Perry, takes a selfie just before speaking to WKU students on Thursday, February 5. Harris-Perry, a Cultural Enhancement speaker, lectured on “We Can’t Breathe”. Melissa Harris-Perry is an American writer, professor, television host, and political commentator with a focus on African-American politics. Harris-Perry hosts the Melissa Harris-Perry weekend news and opinion television show on MSNBC.

Vivian Rivera is WKU's latest to earn the National Science Foundation (NSF) Graduate Research Fellowship. NSF Fellows receive a three-year annual stipend of $37,000 and a $16,000 cost-of-education allowance is awarded to their graduate institution.
