Bachelor of Science in Nursing

Committed to Caring and Striving for Excellence.

The goal of the WKU BSN program is to provide an accessible, high quality Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program to meet the needs of both students and the nursing workforce. There is room for you at WKU! The BSN program provides training in areas such as communication, leadership, and critical thinking skills, all of which are becoming more important as nursing practice becomes more complex. Supervised clinical experience is provided in the hospital departments such as pediatrics, psychiatric, maternity, and surgery. In addition to the hospital setting, our students receive clinical experience in community settings such as hospice, clinics, schools and health departments, all leading to a professional nurse with a broad knowledge base.
