The WKU School of Nursing & Allied Health (SONAH) Graduate Nursing program builds upon the first professional degree, the Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN). The purpose of the program is to develop expertise in advanced nursing practice. The program prepares the nurse for increased accountability, proficiency, and leadership roles in a variety of healthcare settings.
MSN Program Outcomes:
- MSN Degree - PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)
- Post MSN Certificate - FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner)
- Post MSN Certificate - PMHNP (Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner)
The nursing program at Western Kentucky University has shaped me into becoming the nurse I have always dreamed of being. Each member involved in this program, whether that be the staff or your classmates, truly wants what is best for you and motivates you for success.
