Mrs. Kelly Watson graduated from Western Kentucky University with an Associate of Science in Nursing (1999), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (2005), and Master of Science with emphasis in Nursing Education (2016).

 Her teaching career began in January 2012 at Western Kentucky University in the Associate of Science nursing program as a clinical instructor and continues with the Baccalaureate of Science nursing program since 2014. Prior to teaching Mrs. Watson was employed in the Emergency Department at Greenview Regional Hospital since 2002 and continues to work on a PRN basis. She is an active participant in ACLS, PALS, and TNCC and is a member of the Emergency Nurses Association and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society.
