Refund Policy

A refund of tuition shall be made if a student officially withdraws or is dismissed from the University during the first three weeks of a regular semester.  Tuition refunds or reductions in outstanding fee liabilities for students who officially withdraw through TopNet or the Office of the Registrar, or who change their status from full-time to part-time or further reduce their part-time status through drop/add, will be made according to the established refund schedule for the appropriate term.

Oregon Residents: After classes begin for a term, a student who withdraws from a course is eligible for a partial refund through the middle week of the term. Refunds shall be prorated on a weekly basis per WKU’s semester calendar. Without specific Oregon commission approval, refund rates shall not be differentiated on the criteria of a student's source of income or loan repayment obligations except as otherwise required by law.

Financial Aid Recipients

Financial Aid recipients are strongly encouraged to consult with the Office of Student Financial Assistance regarding the impact of changes in enrollment.  Enrollment changes can have a significant impact on your current financial aid as well as your future financial aid eligibility.
