NSF Research Experiences for Undergraduates, and similar programs host by the National Insititutes for Health and other funders, provide paid summer research internships at university research labs across the country. WKU students obtain and participate in summer research internship programs every year.
This event will focus on connecting undergraduate students in nearly all academic disciplines, including biomedical, STEM, and social science undergraduates, with these programs.
Moderated by Cory Dodds in the Office of Scholar Development, a panel of WKU faculty, who have previously managed an REU, will discuss the mentorship provided via research internship programs and the do's and don'ts of applying for these valuable opportunities.
