Harper Anderson
Harper Anderson (Morehead, KY) graduated this Spring (2021) with a major in Political Science. She also majored in Criminology and Sociology and was recognized as a PCAL Scholar of the College.
Harper stayed busy at WKU by participating in student organizations and serving in a number of leadership roles. She was elected as the Student Government Association administrative vice-president and served as a WKU Spirit Master. She also was a member of Kappa Delta Sorority, Pi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Society and several honors societies (Order of Omega Greek Honors Society, Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honors Society, and Rho Lambda National Sorority Honors Society).
On top of her campus involvement, Harper had the opportunity to serve as an intern in Frankfort for the Kentucky Legislative Research Commission in Spring 2020. As part of the internship program, she had hands-on experience with bill drafting, research, and the legislative process.
Harper will be attending law school at the University of Kentucky and says that the Department of Political Science has prepared her for law school and her career in many ways. “My professors and courses have developed my critical thinking skills, enhanced my reading and writing, and given me research experience that is truly invaluable."
