WKU Lifelong Learning hosted the 2018 Spring ACT Institute April 2-5, with students from six counties taking advantage of the program.
Lifelong Learning offers these intensive weeklong institutes in the spring and summer before most students begin taking the ACT. The goal is to provide students with test-taking strategies and skills to maximize their testing performance.
A test preparation expert leads students in an in-depth review of ACT exam materials, using actual test questions. The comprehensive program emphasizes all ACT test components: Test Taking Strategies, Question Formats, Math, English, Reading Comprehension, and Science Reasoning. Students gain insight into strategies for succeeding on standardized tests and go through a comprehensive study plan. They also have access to online review sessions and open office hours leading up to fall exam dates.
Course fees are $449 and include all classroom and online sessions and course materials. WKU alumni, dual credit students, faculty and staff receive a $30 discount.
Two additional options are scheduled this summer: June 4-7 in Bowling Green or July 9-12 at the WKU Owensboro campus. Registration is available online.
