WKU works hard to be the most transfer-friendly university in the Commonwealth, whether you are transferring from one of our partner community colleges or from another university. WKU offers more than 90 bachelor's programs. You may choose to study at one of our campuses in Bowling GreenElizabethtown-Fort KnoxGlasgowOwensboro, Somerset, or WKU Online.

The Transfer Center is a one-stop shop for students interested in transferring to WKU. Our knowledgeable staff can assist you with transfer admission, advising, credit evaluation, financial aid, scholarships, and more. It’s never too early to talk with a WKU transfer advisor to begin the planning process and to ensure a seamless transition. Transfer advising is available at all four WKU campus locations. Contact the campus near you to schedule an appointment.

Joint Admissions

Transfer Scholarships
Merit-based scholarships are available to undergraduate students who transfer from a regionally accredited institution based on their academic achievements.

 

If you need to work toward your degree from home or anywhere in the world, WKU offers nationally recognized distance learning options and student support services to meet your educational needs.

WKU offers on demand courses, online-only programs, and many of our campus-based programs have online components or "blended" classes, which have both online and face-to-face components. You will have the access, flexibility and support you need to succeed.

WKU On Demand
WKU On Demand provides quality, self-paced, non-semester based courses that can be completed in as little as seven weeks or an extended timeframe. WKU On Demand courses are offered via web, email, and mail that can be started any day, any time, and anywhere.

Student Resource Portal
Get the support you need, when you need it. Services include Online Presentation Coaching, an Online Writing Center, electronic resources from WKU Libraries, research assistance, a directory of Top Tools for Online Learners, Online Tutoring, and Career Services.

Military Student Services
Our mission is to provide personalized support for all our military, veterans and dependents.

Special Military Tuition Rate & Tuition Assistance
The tuition rate is $250 per credit hour for undergraduate and graduate courses for U.S. active-duty, Reserves and National Guard students. Also, WKU offers in-state tuition for veterans.

Textbooks For Troops™
Free textbooks are loaned to eligible military students and dependents.

Course Credit for Military Experience & Training
Get a free assessment of your military transcript. Learn how you can complete your degree in less time and save money.

Veterans Upward Bound (VUB)
VUB is designed to motivate and prepare veterans interested in post-secondary education. The program provides counseling, mentoring, tutoring, and academic instruction in the core subject areas.

The Graduate School
The Graduate School serves both as the point of contact for prospective and current graduate students and as a liaison between students and faculty members of all graduate programs.

Graduate Programs
WKU offers graduate degree programs at the masters, specialist, and doctoral levels, as well as graduate certificates.

Graduate Assistantships
WKU awards assistantship stipends to select graduate students enabling them to pursue higher degrees and grow professionally through the development and application of discipline-based knowledge.
