Next month, WKU will offer two free GRE workshops for those interested in pursuing a graduate degree. The online workshops are led by experienced instructors who have a thorough understanding of the revised GRE exam and can provide an introduction to test mechanics, scoring, and valuable tips for preparing for the exam.
Health concerns over in-person placement exams have resulted in postponement of GRE, ACT, and other tests; however, some students are using the extra time to prepare for their exam.
“This down time creates an opportunity for students to develop strategies to improve their test-taking skills,” said WKU Lifelong Learning Program Specialist April McCauley.
“Test prep courses are an excellent way for students to enhance their scores, and these free workshops provide a risk-free introduction to the GRE exam.”
McCauley added that anyone considering graduate school is encouraged to register, including college juniors and seniors, as well as anyone who has been out of school for a while.
WKU also offers a wide variety of more extensive test prep courses, including ACT®, PRAXIS®, GMAT®, GRE®, LSAT®, MCAT®. Registration for fall dates is going on now, and information is available on the WKU Test Prep Webpage.
Upcoming free GRE Strategy Workshops are offered Tuesday, October 13 and Wednesday, October 28 from 8-9 p.m. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. For details, visit the GRE Strategy Workshop webpage.
