Big Red led the ultimate pep rally tour on Tuesday, October 10, visiting all seven Barren County elementary schools. The Pep Rally Tour made a stop at Red Cross, Eastern, Temple Hill, Austin Tracy, North Jackson, Hiseville, and Park City elementary schools, bringing lots of excitement, Hilltopper spirit, and smiles to the students, faculty, and staff.
The pep rallies were an exciting opportunity to invite students to Tops on Trojan Trail this Thursday, October 12 – an event to kick off Barren County High School’s 50th Anniversary Celebration.
Tops on Trojan Trail is free to the public. Doors open at 5:30 with tours of BCHS, followed by an open basketball practice and comments from WKU President Caboni, BC Superintendent Bo Matthews, WKU Director of Athletics Todd Stewart, and WKU Hilltopper Basketball Coach Steve Lutz.
Fans can then cheer on the Tops during a Red/White Scrimmage and enjoy performances by the Barren County Dance Team and the WKU Dance Team. There will also be a Swag Shot Challenge, and WKU in Glasgow will give away a $250 scholarship to a local high school senior. Following the scrimmage, players will be available for autographs.
