Accountants in Kentucky and Tennessee can earn up to four hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits through the WKU CPE Program for Accountants sponsored by the Gordon Ford College of Business Department of Accounting.
The program will take place on Wednesday, May 26, via Zoom. The half-day program begins at 8 a.m. and ends at noon.
“We are excited about the opportunity to resurrect our CPE program. While not an ideal delivery method, the virtual format does allow for a sharing of information on various topics in a convenient and economical manner,” said Dr. Mark Ross, department chair.
Four speakers will present on a variety of topics:
- Dr. Stacy Bibelhauser
Tax Update: Recent Changes Affecting Individuals and Small Businesses - Dr. Dana Cosby
Leaning into Digital: Transformation of the Workforce - Dr. Mark Ciampa
Practical Cybersecurity During a Pandemic - Dr. Melloney Simerly

The Gordon Ford College of Business is a top business school with dual AACSB accreditation in both business and accounting programs.
“We recognize the importance of staying current in the accounting profession and are proud to extend quality educational opportunities to WKU alumni and professionals throughout the region,” said Dr. Chris Shook, Gordon Ford College of Business dean.
This program is available to accountants throughout Kentucky and Tennessee. Current WKU students, faculty, and staff receive a discounted registration fee. Details and online registration information can be found at http://wku.edu/cpd/cpe-cpa.php
