WKU Owensboro Calendar

Sheriff Keith Cain will present on how WWI affected the Kentucky and Daviess County, as well as honor veterans, especially student veterans attending WKU Owensboro. This event will be held in the Badgett Conference Center at 2pm.

On Wednesday November 5, Dr. Karen Petrone, Chair the University of Kentucky History Department, will present her most recent book “The Great War in Russian Memory”. This presentation is hosted and sponsored by WKU Library Services and WKU-Owensboro. It will be held at 7pm in the Badgett Conference Center.

Homecoming Friday Night on Nov. 7 will begin with the parade at 5 p.m. from the WKU campus near Downing Student Union to Fountain Square Park in downtown Bowling Green. The Homecoming Concert in the Park, featuring the Jordan English Band, will begin at 5 p.m. followed by Big Red’s Roar at 6:30 p.m. at Fountain Square Park.

On  Wednesday November 12, Jennifer Wright will present “Preserving Your History: How to Best Preserve Military and Family Memorabilia and Mementos.” This event will take place at 5:30pm at WKU-Owensboro. 

Adrianne Browning, from the WKU Center for Career and Professional Development, will be giving a presentation on resume writing, cover letters, internships, getting involved, elevator speech, and job searches on Tuesday, November 18, at 5:30 p.m. The event will take place in the Badgett Conference Center (room 104).
