Summer Courses Can Help Students Take Advantage of Time Off

Fall registration is going on now . . . and so is summer registration!
Many students are registering for the fall semester, but it’s important to think about taking classes during the summer too! Summer is a smart and affordable way for students to concentrate on a specific course, make up a course they’ve missed or progress toward graduation. WKU Summer Sessions offers over 1,000 courses, with courses beginning in May, June and July.
Current WKU students, visiting students and transfer students can enroll in summer courses! Which are available online, on main campus or at regional campuses. Scholarships are also available!
Scholarship Details
Undergraduate students with a 2.5 GPA or higher are eligible for a summer scholarship. Students must enroll in at least 6 hours and complete the online scholarship application. Scholarship amounts are $425 for students with 3.0 GPA or higher and $250 for students with 2.5 - 2.99 GPA.
Regional Campuses
WKU in Elizabethtown will offer courses in Social Work, English, Economics and History, as well as a course for students pursuing a master’s in Educational Leadership that can be completed in only five class sessions.
WKU in Glasgow will offer courses in Psychology, English, Economics and History.
WKU in Owensboro will offer courses in Social Work, English, Economics and History.
Online Options
Many online courses are also available, so students can earn credit from anywhere and utilize student service opportunities at the WKU campus closest to them.
