This spring, WKU will offer two free online standardized exam strategy workshops for students preparing to the ACT, SAT, or GRE. The online workshops are led by experienced instructors who have a thorough understanding of each exam and can provide an introduction to test mechanics, scoring, and valuable study tips to help prepare for the exams.
Health concerns over in-person placement exams have resulted in postponement of GRE, ACT, and other tests, so many students are concerned about being prepared for their exams.
“Test prep courses are an excellent way for students to enhance their scores, and these free online workshops provide a risk-free introduction,” said WKU Lifelong Learning Program Specialist April McCauley.
“While the ACT is often less of a factor in college admissions, it is commonly used to determine scholarship awards, it’s vital for students to perform well on these exams.”
WKU offers a wide variety of more extensive test prep courses, including ACT®, PRAXIS®, GMAT®, GRE®, LSAT®, MCAT®. Registration for all 2021 dates is open now, and information is available on the WKU Test Prep Webpage.
The ACT/SAT strategy workshop will be at 8 p.m. on April 14, and the GRE workshop for those interested in pursuing a graduate degree will be at 8 p.m. on May 18. Space is limited, so pre-registration is required. Registration is going on now.
