LifeSkills Run/Walk for Autism EVENT CHANGES

After careful consideration, we have decided to make changes to the upcoming LifeSkills Run/Walk for Autism due to the potential for severe weather forecast this weekend. The past few years have taught us the importance of flexibility, and we are adapting accordingly.

At this time, there will be no in-person events at the BG Ballpark. However, packet pickup will still take place at the Suzanne Vitale Clinical Education Complex (CEC) on Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM. We will also offer additional pickup hours on Monday and Tuesday, from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day. The RFA balloon arch will be set up at the CEC for anyone interested in taking photos.

Event Changes:

• 1 Mile Kids Fun Run and 1 Mile Family Fun Run/Walk: These events will transition to a virtual format. Participants may complete the 1-mile event at their own convenience. Please take photos and email to us at cec@wku.edu. We will feature your photos on Facebook during Autism Acceptance Month (April). If your team has custom T-shirts, send a photo of everyone wearing them. Children registered for the 1 Mile Kids Fun Run will receive a finisher's medal in their race packet.
• 4 Mile Run: We understand that a virtual format does not qualify for Grand Prix status. As a result, we will defer the 4-mile run fees to the 2026 event. Those registered for this year’s 4-mile run will receive a code (sent to the email used for registration) when the Eventbrite site opens for next year’s event. This code will only be valid for individuals who are registered for the 2025 event.
