Held during the fall and spring semesters, WKU students are given the opportunity to spend their spring break giving back to various community service projects. Alternative break trips incorporate cultural experiences along with opportunities to volunteer across the region. Past alternative breaks have included trips to Savannah, GA; Charleston, SC; Memphis, TN; Tuscaloosa, AL; Mobile, AL; New Orleans, LA; and Washington D.C.
