Schulte Lab Prospective Students

Thank you for inquiring about our graduate program in biology at WKU, and especially for your interest in my research group.  As of fall 2024, I have retired from WKU and am awaiting approval as Emeritus Distinguished Adjunct Professor. Currently, I am the Department Head of Biological Sciences at North Carolina State University in Raleigh, NC.

The MS program in Biology at WKU is an excellent opportunity for you to further your science knowledge and career. I encourage you to investigate the program and the research conducted in the department. Look at the entrance requirements for the Graduate School at WKU (http://www.wku.edu/graduate/) and the Biology Program (http://www.wku.edu/biology/graduate.php).

Here are some suggestions if you would like to find out more about opportunities to work with me.

(1) Watch some of our videos (https://www.wku.edu/schultebehaviorlab/presentations.php) and read some of our group's publications (http://www.wku.edu/schultebehaviorlab/publications.php) and look over the MS theses of past students (http://www.wku.edu/schultebehaviorlab/past_personnel.php)

(2) Check out on what research current MS students in my group are conducting (http://www.wku.edu/schultebehaviorlab/staff/)

(3) Contact some current and past students to learn about their experiences

(4) Send me a current resume and a short letter/statement on your interests in my research and career aspirations (bruce.schulte@wku.edu; baschult@ncsu.edu). If you have research and/or international experience, be sure to let me know that as well.

Thank you again.  I look forward to hearing from you!
