President - Kelsey Hughson

I’m Kelsey Hughson, a senior majoring in human resource management from Morgantown, Kentucky. I am the human resources intern at the Warren County Public Library. I am also an ambassador for the Gordon Ford College of Business. A fun fact about me is that
I love Hallmark Christmas movies.
Vice President - Alex Houlton
My name is Alex Houlton and I am junior majoring in Human Resources Management from Louisville, KY! Along with serving WKU SHRM as Vice President, I am member of Phi Gamma Delta, a co-founder of the WKU Climbing Club, and a Gordon Ford College of Business Student Ambassador. A fun fact about me is that I biked across the country in the summer of 2017 to raise money for Alzheimer's disease research as a part of the nonprofit Bike4Alz!
Treasurer - Cassie Pennington
I am Cassie Pennington. I am a senior at WKU majoring in Human Resources Management. I graduate in December of 2018. I am the Student Assistant Coach of the WKU Women's Tennis Team. I will be interning for Tractor Supply Company this upcoming summer. I plan to stay in my hometown, Bowling Green, Ky and pursue an HR position. Fun fact: I am completely addicted to Diet Coke.
Secretary - Hannah Goble
My name is Hannah Goble and I’m currently a Senior here at Western Kentucky. I am currently majoring in Human Resource Management. I am also pursuing a certificate in Advanced Professionalism here at Western. I am currently involved in SHRM and involved in doing all things social media for SHRM. A fun fact about me is that I’m left handed. I plan to graduate in the spring of 2019. After graduation I plan to work somewhere in logistics and work in their HR department.
Faculty Advisor - Dr. LeAnne Coder
Dr. Coder is an Associate Professor of Management with an emphasis in the area of Human Resource Management. Her research interests are in the areas of human resource management and corporate social responsibility in small businesses. She has published articles in academic journals such as the Journal of Small Business Strategy, Leadership and Organizational Management Journal, Journal of Economic Psychology, and Contemporary Economic Policy. Her work has been presented at 14 academic conferences and she serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several academic journals. Dr. Coder’s teaching interests are in Human Resource Management. In addition to the introductory human resource management course, she has taught courses in compensation, human resource analytics and information systems, and effective staffing practices. Dr. Coder led the effort to align the WKU HR curriculum with the Society for Human Resource Management curriculum guidelines. This ensures that our HR students are learning the skills and information necessary to be top HR leaders in industry after graduation. Before joining WKU in 2007, Dr. Coder worked in industry for 15 years and held positions such as human resource manager, logistics manager, inventory control manager, cost analyst, and production engineer.
