What You'll Study

Organization and Supervision: An introduction to organizational theory and organizational behavior. The course focuses on supervising people and material resources to enhance organizational productivity and effectiveness. Attention is given to the organizational functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling.

Organizational Promotions and Advertising: Presents the problems of marketing and the ways today's marketers solve them. The course focuses on concepts and principles of theory and practice through the use of practical examples and cases. Studies include market planning, research, strategies, distribution, promotion, pricing, market segmentation, and consumer-oriented marketing.

Introduction to Commerce and Organizational Structures: The management process, production, marketing, finance accounting, personnel and other functional activities are discussed.

The Organization and Supervision Associate degree in the The School of Leadership and Professional Studies may be earned in as little as two years. The program provides graduates with the specialized knowledge and skills needed to pursue a rewarding career.

Over the years, graduates of the Organization and Supervision Program have gone on to start their own successful companies; work as supervisors and managers throughout the state; and/or gone on to complete their four-year bachelor's degree in one of a number of complimentary areas. The two-year nature of the Organization and Supervision Program is particularly appealing to people who want to advance in their current position, enter the workforce quickly, or want to start their own business.

The Associate Degree in Organization and Supervision is a two year program that quickly prepares students for employment in a variety of professional settings. Graduates may also complete a baccalaureate degree in several related areas. The Organization and Supervision degree program requires a minimum of 60 hours, including 15 hours of Colonnade Requirements, a Organization and Supervision Core of 24 credit hours and a Concentration in one specialization.
