Smith Neurobiology Lab
Welcome to the Smith Lab
The primary focus of research in the Smith lab is the sensory biology of fish hearing. We examine the auditory system of fishes in terms of anatomy and ultrastructure of the ear, and measure hearing sensitivity using electrophysiological recording. Projects in our lab examine the teleost auditory system in biomedical, environmental, and ecological/evolutionary contexts. Interested in neuroscience and physiology? If you are a motivated student interested in research in the Smith Lab, please contact Dr. Smith (michael.smith1@wku.edu).
