Attempted Robbery
WKU Police is investigating a second robbery attempt. On December 15, 2011 at 8:03
pm, WKU Police received a report of an attempted robbery. The victim was walking near
the rear of Academic Complex and Minton Hall when the suspect stepped out, displayed
a knife, and demanded money. A scuffle was described as an African American Male,
about 6 foot tall, average build, with a full beard and mustache dressed in a dark
hoodie and gray pants. If you have any information about this crime please contact

December 13, 2011
Attempted Robbery
On December 13, 2011, at about 1:05 pm, an attempted robbery was reported in the courtyard
near Bates Runner Hall and the Downing University Center. A 16-year-old Gatton Academy
student reported he was approached by an African-American male, about 6 feet tall
and 30 years of age. The individual was described as having a full beard and mustache,
wearing a dark toboggan hat, gray jacket, and dark pants. The subject demanded money
from the student. When the student began calling 9-1-1, the suspect fled on foot.
The subject was observed entering a small dark vehicle parked in Minton Lot, and fleeing
the scene. The student was unharmed in the incident. No weapons were observed nor
did the subject state he was armed during the robbery attempt. WKU Police are investigating
the incident. WKU Police request that anyone with information about this person, the
