Step back in time and get ready to enjoy a blast from the past with our totally awesome 90’s-themed Orientation Extravaganza! Here’s the lowdown on what’s going down:
1. Welcome and Icebreakers (30 minutes): Kick things off with some classic 90's tunes as you arrive—think Backstreet Boys, Nirvana, and Spice Girls! We’ll start with a round of “Name That 90's Tune” to break the ice, followed by some gnarly team-building games like “Human Knot” and “Two Truths and a Lie” to get everyone chillin’ and minglin’.
2. Outdoor Games (45 minutes): We’ve got everything from “Cornhole” to “Disc Frisbee” and, of course, the ultimate “Water Balloon Toss.” The best part? Winners get some totally rad 90's swag like slap bracelets and scrunchies!
3. DIY Tie-Dye and Friendship Bracelets (45 minutes): Channel your inner 90's fashionista with a tie-dye session! We'll provide white tees, neon dyes, and rubber bands for you to create your own colorful masterpiece. Not into tie-dye? No worries! Grab some string and beads to make friendship bracelets. It’s the perfect way to make a new pal and remember this epic day.
4. 90’s Trivia and Snack Break (30 minutes): Refuel with some classic 90's snacks—Gushers, Dunkaroos, and Capri Sun, anyone? While you munch, team up for a trivia showdown featuring all your favorite 90's pop culture. From TV shows like “Friends” and “Fresh Prince” to iconic 90's lingo, it’s time to prove who’s the ultimate 90's kid!
5. Ships & Sailors (30 minutes): End the day on a high note with a "Simon Says" like activity to get you moving, thinking, and finding your team-mates.
So, first years, dust off your denim overalls and neon windbreakers, because it’s time to get jiggy with it and make this the most unforgettable orientation ever. Catch you on the flip side!
