How to help student who do (or do not) want to be helped: This session will be a discussion about how to help students who might be reluctant to seek help or are uncertain about getting help using principles of motivational interviewing, client centered counseling, and other philosophies of helping. We will focus on helping students help themselves instead of rescuing the student.
All sessions will be taught by Counseling Center staff and offered from Noon – 1:00 p.m. in the Potter Hall conference room, 408.
Please B.Y.O.L. – Bring Your Own Lunch
We encourage you to attend, learn new skills, and gain knowledge.
Sessions are open to anyone in the university community – Students, Faculty, and Staff.
ALL sessions will be given Well-U credit (for students enrolled in the program)!
