Western Kentucky University will dedicate The Commons at Helm Library at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (August 31).

Housed in the building that was once WKU’s home basketball arena, followed by a university library, The Commons provides an intellectual and social hub at the north end of campus where students, faculty, and staff can gather over a meal, share ideas, and where learning can continue beyond classroom walls. It is also a key structure in the redevelopment of the north end of campus. It houses flexible classroom and meeting space, study areas, and multiple dining options.

WKU President Timothy C. Caboni will provide remarks along with representatives from the building’s design firm, the WKU student body president, and other campus officials.
