The major in Hospitality Management and Dietetics program offers three distinct concentrations:
The Nutrition and Dietetics concentration prepares students to become Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN). The profession offers a variety of career opportunities that include nutrition counseling, clinical nutrition, wellness and community nutrition, foodservice management, and sports nutrition. The undergraduate program is the first step to becoming an RDN.
The Dietetic Internship Program is a combined Masters and Dietetic Internship with a concentration in Business Leadership. Upon completion of the program, the dietetic interns will have fulfilled the requirements necessary to take the credentialling exam to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) and graduate with a Master of Business Administration (MBA).
The Hotel, Restaurant, & Tourism Management concentration prepares students to be leaders in hotels & resorts, restaurants, convention centers, events, and more. Our minor in Meeting and Convention Planning provides students with expertise in leading corporate and formal events.
The Food, Nutrition, & Wellness concentration prepares students for careers in extension services, community food programs, food service management, wellness programs, and sales. Students are eligible for a certificate in Health Education and Promotion.
