With a penchant for creative results-driven work, Kara Williams Glenn leads Western Kentucky University’s award-winning, student-intern staffed, AD + PR + Design agency, Imagewest. A former WKU and Imagewest alumna, Williams Glenn is committed to immersing students in the agency experience that Imagewest provides, helping them excel in the industry before they leave collage through the production of quality work delivered to real clients on real deadlines.
Blending a formal background in creative design with a passion for marketing, Williams Glenn has proven her dedication to success in both agency and in-house settings in a wide array of industries from corporate/industrial to non-profit. Her vision for Imagewest is to empower Imagewest’s interns to achieve their own ambitions while simultaneously guiding the agency towards a productive cycle with an extensive monthly clientele, giving students opportunities to apply their skills in many scenarios while generating revenue to support the program.
Williams Glenn understands the importance of continuous improvements in every aspect of the business. She works closely with the Imagewest interns to develop business relationship strategies that create, cultivate, and maintain agency clients and ensure client satisfaction. It’s a delicate balance between fostering student independence and encouraging their talent thorough review, but it’s this balance that lets students grow and thrive, making Imagewest an invaluable experience. As someone who understands both the culture of Imagewest personally and the realities of agency life, Williams Glenn is perfectly suited to challenge interns to work past their own expectations and grow as career professionals.
She resides in Bowling Green with her husband and their three beautiful cats.
