Kara Glenn is an Assistant Professor of Graphic Design at Western Kentucky University, where she also serves as Co-Director of Imagewest, the university’s award-winning student-run advertising, public relations, and design agency. A results-driven educator and designer, she is dedicated to fostering student professional development through hands-on agency experience, campaign planning, and creative activity.

Glenn holds a Master of Fine Arts from Full Sail University, where she graduated as valedictorian in 2019, and a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design from Western Kentucky University in 2011. Her professional expertise spans multimedia graphic design, marketing, and brand development, with experience in both agency and in-house settings across various industries.

Under her leadership, Imagewest has focused on dynamic high-impact projects and has over 35+ national and international awards and honors. She established the Imagewest Boot Camp Workshop, an intensive, client-based training week that has benefited 13 regional non-profits.

Beyond the classroom, Glenn has coordinated over ten art exhibitions, including HER: The Juried Show, MELANIN, and Signs of Change, many of which secured outside sponsorships. Her own work has been recognized with over 40 industry awards and honors, including the Bowling Green Professional Marketing Association’s Marketer of the Year.

Committed to student success, Glenn has led her students to win over 95 honors and awards since 2017. Through her mentorship and innovative approach to design education, she continues to bridge the gap between academia and professional practice, preparing students for impactful careers in the creative industry.
