A Tennessee Native, Natalie is a designer, maker, and educator who's creative activity and research focuses on both client-based design and mixed-media fine art practices. She seeks to explore popular culture themes in her work related to contemporary trends and generational mindsets in this media and influencer obsessed world we find ourselves in. An "old millennial," her most recent work and research centers specifically on Millennials and Generation Z and her mission to de-mystify and mock pre-conceived notions of those generations. She also utliizes this research in her teaching practice by tailoring her classroom experiences and teaching strategies to better serve their work ethic and mentality. She aims to bridge the gap in preparing students for the workforce by drawing from her own professional background, as well as engaging them in discussion about professional practices and the ever-changing environment of the creative industry.
