Eastern Kentucky University, Murray State University, Northern Kentucky University,
Western Kentucky University, the University of Kentucky, and University of Louisville,
in partnership with AIGA Louisville, AIGA Cincinnati and AIGA Nashville, are proud
to announce Interconnected, anew, state-wide design lecture series for the 2020-21 academic year. This year’s focus
— Black Voices in Design — aims to diversify and decolonize our pedagogical practices and design curricula.
Each university has volunteered to ‘host’ one speaker for a live, virtual lecture
which will be free to interested students, faculty, and professionals in design programs
across the state.
WKU Art and AIGA Nashville is excited to feature Britt Davis as the Kick-Off event
for this series.
About Britt Davis
Born and raised in the artsy city of Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Britt Davis has
always been drawn to the arts. From building intricate LEGO sets to drawing sneakers
from Eastbay magazine, her childhood was full of creativity and design. Today, Britt's
designs are fueled by creative innovation and driven by the opportunity to use design
as a platform to inspire others.
Britt is an Alumna of North Carolina State University, where she earned her Bachelor's
degree in Industrial design and still enjoys participating in Alumni Association events.
She went on to earn her Master of Fine Arts degree in Graphic Design from Savannah
College of Art and Design. Her educational accolades are matched by her professional
experiences, which include designing for ESPN, Viacom, SB Nation, WNBA, NASCAR, multiple
universities and professional sports teams, and individual athletes.
Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work on a variety of creative
projects in product design, print, UI, illustration and identity. Britt has been working
in professional sports in Atlanta since 2015, most recently as a Senior Graphic Designer
with AMB Sports+Entertainment.
