The Center for Applied Data Analytics (CADA) is dedicated to serving faculty, students, and the region through innovative data analytics education and application. We help make sense of the vast volumes of data collected today, offering expertise in analytical tools and data science programs to reveal insights and tell compelling data stories.

CADA is a vibrant hub where faculty, staff, students, and community members collaborate to enhance learning experiences and build essential community partnerships. Our mission is to foster a cooperative environment that promotes student success and supports professional growth for all.

The Center operates under the GFCB Centers and supports learning and research in Data Analytics.

Our goals include:

1. Driving Innovation Through Research: We aim to establish partnerships and collaborations in funded research initiatives to advance knowledge and foster academic growth.

   • Collaborate with researchers across various disciplines to leverage data analytics for impactful research.
   • Engage students in applied research projects, providing hands-on learning opportunities.

2. Empowering Businesses and Professionals: We offer training programs in data analytics, helping faculty, staff, students, and local businesses make informed decisions and achieve success.

   • Provide data analytics training programs to enhance skills and knowledge for professionals and students alike.
   • Assist businesses in analyzing data for customer insights, operational improvements, and market strategies.

Our Faculty: Through interdisciplinary research, our faculty provide critical insights and support to clients, enabling them to synthesize, aggregate, and analyze data effectively.

Our Region: We serve a diverse geographical area through Western Kentucky University’s campuses in Bowling Green, Elizabethtown, Fort Knox, Glasgow, Owensboro, and Somerset, ensuring broad access to education and professional growth in data analytics across these communities.
