Makerspace

The Makerspace area of the CEBS Student Success Center contains numerous supplies, games, and tools to help students create projects and complete assignments. Students are welcome to make use of our die cuts and manual die cut machine, our Cricut cutting machine, and the supplies provided for students.

Distraction Corner

The Distraction Corner provides students with opportunities to take a break from studying and take a well-earned break. Coloring supplies, brainteasers, and puzzles are there for students during their breaks.

Banned Book Display

The act of banning books is detrimental because it restricts the free flow of ideas and limits individuals’ access to diverse perspectives. A society that values intellectual freedom recognizes the importance of open discourse and the exploration of various viewpoints, fostering a richer understanding of the world. Banning books hinders this exchange of ideas and the intellectual and cultural development of a community by stifling the opportunity for individuals to engage with a wide range of thoughts and opinions.

In CEBS, we recognize the importance of and are committed to supporting the exploration of various perspectives and promoting intellectual curiosity. Because of this, the CEBS Student Success Center features rotating displays of banned and challenged books for students to discover and explore.
