Making a Difference in Perpetuity 

Becky and Gary Sims spent 34 years of marriage making memories and counting blessings.  Without children of their own, they took in godchildren, foster children, and became mentors to many individuals that they loved as their own.  When Becky began working at WKU in 2003, they began opening their home to countless WKU students.  Preparing Thanksgiving dinners, Easter meals, and hosting Pumpkin Carving parties and game nights, Gary and Becky showed their true love and WKU Spirit by always giving students a home-away-from-home. 

Becky and Gary are both graduates of Western Kentucky University.  After twenty years in health care, Becky returned to the Hill in 2003 to work in the Office of Admissions.  Becky joined the Intramural-Recreation Sports Department in October 2005.  Gary spent a full career with Life Skills, Inc., finishing as Vice President of Behavioral Health.
