Commemorating David  

David Andrew Heard was born April 2, 1997 in Nashville, TN, to Mark and Marci Heard.  David was a student at Southern Kentucky Community and Technical College and a member of Living Hope Baptist Church. He was an avid outdoorsman and was passionate about fishing. He was a loving son, brother, uncle and grandson. David loved his family, his friends, and Alabama football. He had a reserved and subtle sense of humor.

Sadly, David passed away on May, 9, 2016 at the age of 19. To honor his memory, family and friends established the David Heard Memorial Scholarship Fund and the Annual David Heard Memorial Fishing Tournament, held this year on every year on Derby Saturday at Barren River Lake State Resort Park. Through both the fund and event, David's memory lives on in perpetuity.
