Clarence Glover Scholarship Fund
Clarence Glover is a retired educator who resides in Louisville, KY. His career as an educator included Asst. Headmaster (high school) in Boston (MA.), Assistant Basketball Coach at Purdue University, Assistant to the Superintendent of Fayette County Schools (Lexington, KY.) and middle school principal in the Jefferson County Public Schools (JCPS) in Louisville, Kentucky.
He is a 1971 WKU graduate and a member of the WKU 1971 NCAA Division I Final-Four Men Basketball Team. A scholarship award was created in the College Heights Foundation by friends of Glover from Horse Cave, Kentucky in June 1971. Although a career educator, Mr. Glover began his career as the number one draft of the NBA Boston Celtics and played professional basketball for that corporation.
He has a Bachelor of Science Degree from WKU, Master of Education (M.Ed.) from Boston State College (MA.) and completed Rank I certification post-graduate studies at Butler University (Indianapolis) and Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis (IUPUI).
He is a member of the Hilltopper Athletic Hall of Fame, Barren County (Ky.) Athletic Hall of Fame, and the WKU Cupola Society. Glover has served on multiple board of directors for WKU and other corporate entities that include President and member of the WKU Alumni Association Board of Directors, Hilltopper Athletic Foundation Board of Directors, College Heights Foundation Board of Directors, WKU Foundation Board of Trustees, WKU President Board of Advisors, Louisville Public Media Board of Directors, Actors Theatre of Louisville Advisory Board, and Louisville Central Community Centers (LCCC) Board of Directors.
