Cynthia Wilkerson joined the College Heights and WKU Foundation teams in spring 2020 as Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer. She received her bachelor’s degree in accounting (1993) and her master’s degree in professional accountancy (1995) from WKU. Cynthia returns home to WKU and Bowling Green, KY, after a span of years pursuing a career in public industry and public accounting. With 20+ years of experience leading teams at a Fortune 500 company and over 5 years as an auditor and tax accountant in public accounting, she has served in a variety of leadership positions across the country (KY, MS, TN and UT). Various positions held include Vice President of Operations, Controller and Operations Manager. In addition to having her CPA certification, Cynthia is trained in Six Sigma, Greenbelt and Gung Ho methodologies to reduce variation and continuously improve processes while leading teams. Cynthia has fulfilled a life-long goal as she has always wanted to return to “The Hill” to support WKU and the local community.

Cynthia and her family reside in Bowling Green, KY. She has a daughter that is a WKU alumna, twin sons attending WKU and husband, WKU alumnus.
