Laughter is the best medicine! This was a mantra Stavon lived by every single day, on the good ones and the bad. He was born January 25, 1990, to Misha Maynard and Scott Williams Sr. in South Bend Indiana.
A leader, brother, and servant of God, with tremendous taste in fashion, Stavon spent his childhood years in Nashville, TN, and landed in Bowling Green and had an unforgettable time on the Hill. He attended Western Kentucky University from 2008-2012, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Education and served as a Resident Advisor, facilitator for Dynamic Leadership Institute and was initiated into the Gamma Theta Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Inc. in April 2011.
He possessed an enormous passion for entrepreneurship and greatly loved his community. Community was wherever he had people who mattered to him; Indiana, North Carolina, Kentucky, Kansas, Nevada, Tennessee, his awesome church family and beyond. Stavon passed away on August 19, 2021, at the age of 31.
To keep his infectious smile present in his loved one’s lives and beyond, friends and family have established the Stavon E. Williams Memorial Scholarship. Through his three daughters, Skye, Serenity and Saige and this generous fund, Stavon’s legacy lives on in perpetuity.
