WKU Social Work welcomes Dr. Whitney Cassity-Caywood

The WKU College of Health and Human Services and Department of Social Work are excited to announce the appointment of Dr. Whitney Cassity-Caywood as the newest tenure-track faculty member. Dr. Cassity-Caywood will be a pedagogical faculty member and serve as program director for the Bachelor of Social Work, effective July 1, 2024.
With a wealth of experience in teaching and leadership, Dr. Cassity-Caywood brings a dynamic perspective to her new role. She has chaired the Kentucky Board of Social Work, collaborated with the Association of Social Work Boards, and contributed to the Murray University Faculty Senate. Additionally, her extensive background includes running a private practice and serving as a research affiliate with the WKU LifeSkills Center for Child Welfare Education and Research.
Dr. Cassity-Caywood's scholarly contributions are noteworthy, with five peer-reviewed manuscripts and seven professional presentations. Her expertise positions her strongly to advance teaching scholarship within the department and beyond.
