Angela Gott Elected to AAFCS Board of Directors

The American Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) announced the 2025 Board of Directors, including Angela Gott as one of the new Directors-at-Large for 2025-2028. Gott is an instructor in the College of Health and Human Services Department of Applied Human Sciences.
With 32 years of experience, Gott’s journey in FCS began in middle and high school classrooms. She now serves as the FCS Teacher Educator at Western Kentucky University. Gott’s election reflects her dedicated services to the Family and Consumers Sciences (FCS) profession and her commitment to the future of the field. She is committed to advancing the AAFCS strategic action plan and is dedicated to serving AAFCS members, promoting excellence, and elevating the Family and Consumer Sciences profession.
Founded in 1909, the AAFCS is the only professional association representing members from both multiple FCS practice settings and content areas. The mission of AAFCS is to elevate the profession by inspiring research, leadership, and service to empower individuals, families, and communities.
