New Website for Center for Child Welfare Education and Research
- Friday, April 24th, 2020
April is National Child Abuse Prevention Month, and Western Kentucky University’s Center for Child Welfare Education and Research (CCWEAR) is excited to launch our new website (www.wku.edu/childwelfare) where we would like you to come and learn about our mission, team, projects, and productivity. CCWEAR is Kentucky’s first center for child welfare, and aspires to become a catalyst for translational research in the following five key pillar areas:
- education & training
- workforce development
- policy & advocacy
- collaboration & partnerships
- family & child well-being
CCWEAR is organizing an alliance of multidisciplinary professionals with diverse backgrounds and skills to address comprehensive social problems. We are student focused, currently recruiting a Graduate Research Assistant, and dedicated to our community. Please make sure to sign up for updates on our website and to follow us on our social media channels @WKUChildWelfare as we look forward to building a brighter future for Kentucky’s families and children. Child welfare belongs to all of us!
