Accessibility Accommodations
Accessible Seating
Houchens Industries - L.T. Smith Stadium guest accessible seating is located on the east side concourse.
E.A. Diddle Arena guest accessible seating is located on the second level of the arena. Elevators are available at each entrance.
One additional guest may accompany the attendee with a disability to this area. To assure accessible seating for all who need to be accommodated, we ask that other guests be seated near the accessible seating areas. All seating at the ceremony is open. No reservations are needed to have accessible seating.
Parking
A limited number of parking spaces will be reserved for individuals who possess a disability parking permit. Parking attendants will direct you to the appropriate parking locations. Reservations are not needed. We recommend that you arrive early. See our Directions and Parking page.
Sign Language Services
A sign language interpreter will be located on the floor seating of E.A. Diddle Arena in Section B on Friday, December 6, 2024.
A sign language interpreter will be located in Section 130 at Houchens Industries - L.T. Smith Stadium on Thursday, May 8, 2025.
A sign language interpreter will be located on the floor seating of E.A. Diddle Arena in Section B on Friday, May 9, 2025.
Additional Accommodations
Guests requiring disability accommodations other than those outlined above should contact WKU Student Accessibility Resource Center (SARC) at (270) 745-5004 or sarc.connect@wku.edu. Students who are participating in recognition or Commencement ceremonies should contact the SARC if they need accommodations (such as seating) during the ceremony. Requests will be handled on a case-by-case basis. SARC will make every effort to accommodate all requests.
Commencement and College Recognition Ceremonies are very well-attended, and we encourage anyone with mobility or health issues to arrive early. If you use a wheelchair, cart, or other specialized equipment, please bring it with you. Wheelchairs and other mobility assistive devices will be the responsibility of the attendee.
